About Essence of Zion

Essence of Zion is a holistic healing business that offers products in various forms to accommodate individuals and promote herbal healing in our everyday lives. Whether you're experiencing emotional imbalance, physical pain, or you have sensitive skin and you're tired of products that are harmful to you, these products carry plant medicine wisdom and remedies that are made to soothe and reconnect you to your roots. 

My journey with herbs started in high school, as a depressed teenager who started to become an avid tea drinker. I started to notice a shift in my spirit and my physical state the more I experienced different variations of tea, which led me to my personal research. My research included me experimenting with herbs and the various ways you can use them to support and heal your mind, body, and spirit. As my knowledge deepened, I wanted to encourage individuals around me to do the same. One thing I didn’t realize was in doing so, I unlocked a version of me waiting to be awakened. This was the start of my journey. 

The inspiration to start this business deepened from my experience as a young black woman living in America. A country that seems to aim and target our community with additives and chemicals in our food, medicine, and products.  Growing up, I was never fond of the idea of an individual being medicated because how can such a "remedy" cause such distress for your mind, body, and spirit? It doesn't help. Instead, they encourage you to put yourself in a cycle where they can profit off of your body and mind deteriorating from what they prescribed/promoted to you. It's up to you to put an end to it.

The mind, body, and spirit are all deeply connected rather than separate. What we experience mentally and emotionally can often influence how we feel physically. My herbal infusions are created with the intention of supporting your mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing holistically.
